The digital landscape in Southeast Asia and India is booming, but with growth comes complexity. To help navigate this ever-evolving environment, IAB SEA+India is proud to announce our three dedicated councils for 2024, each designed to address critical industry needs and empower our members and led by an IAB SEA+India Regional Board Member and our Regional CEO.

These councils offer a unique forum for industry leaders to connect, share knowledge, and tackle the most pressing challenges facing digital marketing in the region.  Council meetings cultivate open dialogue between brands, agencies, publishers, and platforms, providing invaluable insights and perspectives. 1. Responsible Privacy Council: Building a Privacy-First Future

Spearheaded by Regional Board Member Vidyarth Eluppai Srivatsan, Senior Director, Global Marketing Technologies at The Coca-Cola Company, this council is a collaborative force of industry leaders committed to championing responsible data practices and user privacy. Together, we’re:

  • Simplifying regulations and educating the industry: Providing clarity and guidance in a complex landscape.

  • Building a privacy-centric future: Promoting transparency and accountability in digital advertising.

2. IAB Academy Council: Empowering the Next Generation of Digital Marketers

Led by Regional Board Member Deepika Nikhilender, Chief Solutions Officer at GroupM, passionate group of industry experts is focused on transforming the digital landscape through talent development and upskilling. By curating free, accessible professional certifications from member training modules, the Academy Council is:

  • Democratising access to education: Creating a single entry point for career advancement, regardless of location or background.

  • Building a skilled and competitive workforce: Equipping individuals and companies with the tools to succeed in the digital economy.

3. The Retail Media Council: Shaping the Future of Retail Media

Championed by Regional Board Member David Yang, Regional Head of Sales and GTMC at Grab, this council is dedicated to driving transformation and growth in the retail media space. Together, we’re:

  • Developing best practices and industry standards: Providing guidance and support for marketers to maximise their retail media efforts.
