tell us about meta, what is your mission?
To build the future of human connection and the technology that makes it possible.
what hero product are you most proud of at meta?
Newsfeed: We take it for granted that this is the way we consume content on mobile now, but this revolutionised the way we see things on devices.
what do you love most about working across southeast asia and india?
Southeast Asia and India are constantly evolving the recipe when it comes to how we reach customers. This contrasts to other regions which have more of a legacy feel to them and don’t move quite as fast. This means there is always something new to consider and it keeps you on your toes!
what’s your favourite thing about being part of the IAB SEA+India member network?
I have often had ideas of hypothesis on things, but wasn’t sure how valid they were outside of Meta. Being part of the AI Council this year has helped me validate or evolve my perspectives by sounding out other industry peers on if what I am thinking is nonsense or in fact correct.
and finally, some may say, the most important question in our region – what’s your favourite food?
When house hunting in Singapore 15 years ago I was introduced to Bak Kut Teh (peppery pork rib soup) by our estate agent. Once I tasted the soft and peppery pork ribs with thick soy sauce drizzled on top I was sold. This is my go to when its raining or I need comfort food. Being here 15 years means I have more of a Singaporean stomach vs UK.
